What is Citrix Receiver? Citrix Receiver is a client software that is used to remotely connect to Virtual Desktop applications. It is available for most any platform but these instructions are for Windows or Mac OS. Click the appropriate platform if you are on a mobile device: iOS, or Android. Features of the Citrix Receiver. Citrix Workspace app is a new client from Citrix that works similar to Citrix Receiver and is fully backward-compatible with your organization’s Citrix infrastructure. Citrix Workspace app provides the full capabilities of Citrix Receiver, as well as new capabilities based on your organization’s Citrix deployment.

Instructions

You can uninstall Citrix Workspace app for Mac manually by opening the .dmg file. Select Uninstall Citrix Workspace App and follow the on-screen instructions. The .dmg file is the file that is downloaded from Citrix when installing Citrix Workspace app for Mac for the first time. If the file is no longer on your computer, download the file again from Citrix Downloads to uninstall the application.
Files related to Citrix Workspace App are present in '/Applications/Citrix Workspace.app' and '/Library/Application Support/Citrix Receiver'. After uninstallation process If any files are present in the above mentioned paths you can delete them from Finder App.

***NOTE: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A VERSION OF CITRIX RECEIVER INSTALLED YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETELY UNINSTALL BEFORE REVIEWING THIS TUTORIAL.***

1.Login to https://studentappst.asu.edu for the student environment or https://citrixt.wpcarey.asu.edu for the staff environment.

2. Click the Detect Receiver button in the prompt that appears after login.

3.Check “I agree with the Citrix License Agreement”

4.Click Download.

5.Double-Click on the downloaded CitrixReceiverWeb.dmg file. (Depending on your browser settings, you may need to navigate to your download folder).

6.Double-Click on the Install Citrix Receiver.pkg

7.Click Continue

8.Click Continue

9.Click Agree to the terms of the software license agreement

10.ClickInstall

11. Click Install Software after entering your system username andsystem password

12.Click Close to complete the installation of the Citrix Receiver Client

13. Click Continue now that the Citrix Receiver client has been installed
